Right, so yesterday? Yesterday, Reno had woken up as a ridiculously hot girl, while Rikku was still in girl-form herself. Which meant Reno had once again declared himself to be the hottest lesbian in existence, and Rikku ... okay, so she kind of really liked having girl-sex with girl-Reno, on the rare occasions that it happened. And so they did. Repeatedly. Before coming back to Fandom, having even more fun, and then collapsing in a heap.

And so, when Rikku awoke this morning, she snuggled in against the other sleeping form and discovered that ... that ... wait a second.

Reno was still a girl. At least, girl-shaped, on the outside.

She blinked and sat up, looking him over, not really sure how to feel about that.

Which Reno didn't mind either, no.

She was looking at him oddly again, as if things were just occurring to her that hadn't before. Which was weird, considering how long they'd been together.

"And you ... that's the part you like best," she said, somewhere between asking and stating. "Being what each person wants, or needs. Getting them off. Playing out their kinks, making them feel good. Isn't it?"

He grinned at her for a minute, and then flopped backward again, sprawling out against his bed.

She felt it was important to add, "It's not a bad thing. Just interesting."

"I think I can handle being interesting," Reno chuckled, a noise somewhere deep in his chest that seemed more purr than anything. "You surprised me, you know."

He wasn't necessarily talking about in bed, no.

"How so?" Rikku asked, leaning over to press a kiss against the tip of his nose before agreeing. "You surprised me, too."

"You wanna know?" Reno smirked, looking her way, before shaking his head and settling back against the pillows. "You got to me. Shit, Rikku. Until you came along, I was the invincible one, yo. Didn't need jack-friggin'-all, didn't need nobody."

Well. Maybe Rude.

"Wasn't gonna never admit different, either."

"So ... Rude wouldn't have made you say it?" she asked. "How much you needed him?"

And for once, she wasn't implying anything homoerotic about that, although that would probably come back any second now.

Reno was going to shoot back with something sharp and snide, yes. Something about how he was straight, thanks, unless he was a lesbian, and then some halfhearted joke besides.

It fell short, and Reno just shrugged, instead.

"Never would'a. Rude knows, zoto."

"You could say it now," she suggested. "Just because people know things, doesn't mean it isn't nice to hear them say it."

Which seemed like a good time to add, "I love you."

And see, if she hadn't thrown in that 'I love you,' Reno probably would have laughed and pointed out that if he told Rude that he cared, the big guy would probably start to worry that Reno was trying to get something out of him.

"E muja oui," Reno replied, smiling lazily up at her for a moment before, to hell with it, he was moving to claim her lips with his. Good morning kisses, complete with morning breath. The only way to start the day.

Morning breath was not nearly as important as the kind of light, lingering kiss that that statement required.

"Do you think he's okay?" she asked. "You're here, and you've got me."

Not to sound egotistical, either. Just that ... Rude didn't have anyone the same way.

"He wants me to go back," Reno sighed, frowning a little. "He won't never say it, but I can tell these things, yo."

Because Reno and Rude apparently shared a brain.
