MHA #1, Aka Reno _And_ Rikku-Land, Friday Evening

Reno had assured her that she didn't need to clean for Rude, that Rude was used to his messes, but Rikku liked cleaning. She hadn't seen Rude in ages! This was going to be fun!

The place was decidedly cozier than Rude would probably be expecting. What with all the cheery decor and the orange fluffy bathmat. There weren't even any empty beer bottles or porno mags on the coffee table.

Just an Al Bhed girl, puttering around while Reno ran out for more supplies. Which she hoped didn't mean more beer and pornos. But, well. It was Reno.

(This will be the site of an unholy sort of Turks Reunion, featuring several versions of some of the people involved, no less. But the very first thread is for Tseng alone, please, even though it's Rude she's expecting.)

Rosalind was... almost feeling sorry for her Tseng. She'd be feeling a great deal sorrier if he hadn't managed to get her professors names out of her and informed her that he was going to meet with them.

So, settling herself some place that wasn't too--in the center of things, she felt awkward enough about this--Rosalind contented herself with being a tiny bit amused, a tiny bit bemused, and more than a little awkward and trying not to stare.

Mmm. Socialization. What was that again?

Elena had somehow gravitated to her sister's side.

"We should lay odds," she suggested, glancing from one Tseng to the other. "On which one of them starts lecturing Reno first."

"Your Tseng," Rosalind said, unaware of... other facts that made that an unwise word-choice. "He is the one with reason to, after all. Is that not correct?"

She was hardly going to object to her sister being present. Either one of them.

"I don't think any Tseng needs a reason," Elena said, flushing at the unexpected implications of that. That ... was a conversation they were going to need to have, and soon. She didn't like lying to her sister, but she didn't think it would go over well, either. "I think that's why he hired him, you know? Counterbalance. They complement each other really well, even if they can't be in the same room for more than ten minutes without trying to kill each other."

"You underestimate them both," Rosalind chided. "I have never known them to put petty squabbling above a serious matter."

But then, her situation was--quite different than theirs at the moment.

Spoken like a woman who had never woken up with Reno's ballsack on her forehead.

Or had she? Because there was something kind of gross and incestuous about that.

"I think maybe Reno has ... become more Reno with age," she suggested.

Did that mean that Rosalind's Reno didn't take pictures of his dick on the coffeemaker? If so, could she trade?

It was more likely that Rosalind considered that so beneath her that she did not bother acknowledging that it happened.

"Time does change things," she said, a bit wryly. With a glance at Elena and Reno's girlfriend.

Which still gave her a bit of a pause.

"Yeah, I don't get that either," Elena said, shaking her head. "She's nice enough, if a bit ... weird."

Well, she was.

"You know, that's not ... the only thing that's changed," she said. This was really conversational, here. "With us, I mean."

Smooth.
