OOC: Availability Tango (Not Mine)

Jude-mun is stuck at work and asked if I'd post a quick OOC reminder for her. She is leaving for vacation in a couple of hours and will be back the 15th.

Jude Lizowski (dude_its_jude) will be holed up with Rikku for the weekend and is turning into a cat Sunday morning.

Jim Ellison (sensitivejim) has been called away to Japan for a week by his dad. Business trip.

Jay and Silent Bob (silent_robert) are either looking for John Hughes or there was some kind of horrible mishap involving duct tape, some twine, an inflatable doll, and three live chickens. Deadpool (mouthy_merc) will be grabbing Jay & Silent Bob's first class. Muahahahaha.

Friday Morning, Room 308: Contemplation and a Phone Call

Rikku was hanging out in her room, feeling kinda weirdly unsettled.

There were new students, which rocked. She'd met a number of them at the picnic, and they seemed like a pretty cool bunch. Plus she got to hang out with Gavin and there'd been an incident with the onion dip and thus, seriously good times.

But the trip to Valentine's world that didn't happen ... that was scary. How did someone's world just get locked off like that? Was that why he wasn't back yet? Maybe worlds had timelocks or some random stuff like that. Nothing she could do about it so she wasn't gonna worry.

Right. Like that'd work.

At least the fireworks had been pretty. Rikku was definitely a fan of this Fourth of July stuff. Although Canada Day had been way more fun.

It'd be nice if Hamlet called, since he'd been gone three whole days now, and what was she, chopped liver here? Maybe not three whole days, and there was a lot of stuff for him to do, like avenge his dad or whatever and unpack.

When the phone rang, Rikku totally figured it wouldn't be Hamlet, since that'd be way too freaky. And it wasn't, but it was some friend of his named Horatio who was totally in town (well, DC, close enough, right?) and wanted to have coffee or something. Hey, cool! Coffee: totally doable. Well, maybe she'd just get juice, since coffee made her spaz out like that Bart kid.

She grabbed her board and bounced out the door, psyched.

Rikku left the coffee shop quickly, which was probably rude and horrible and awful but if she stayed there a second longer she was going to start crying and if she started she might never stop and that wasn't fair to do to him, he was way more upset than her, he was ... had been ... an old friend of ...
